Interesting research.
Room for better answers.

Research can help you ask better questions. Here are three distinct studies, what they examined and the limits to keep in mind. A study result is not a promise about your own experience.

RESTORE

Pain and physical function

Randomized controlled trial
118 participants · 14 days

Researchers compared an active haptic patch with a control patch and reported improvements in pain and function measures in the active group.

What this does and doesn't establish

A small, short study. It does not establish long-term benefits or prove that every user will have the same experience. The proposed mechanism remains uncertain.

Funding & interests

Company-funded. The study reports compensation for investigators and the research organization.

POWER-UP

Athletic performance

Controlled study in young athletes
70 varsity athletes, ages 18–30 · short-term lab tests

Researchers measured muscle force and related performance outcomes during controlled tests with active and placebo patches.

What this does and doesn't establish

These are laboratory measurements in young athletes. They do not establish everyday benefits for older adults, faster recovery or injury prevention.

Funding & interests

Company-funded.

Sleep research

Sleep-related symptoms

Observational study
113 active-patch participants and 20 controls · 14 days

Participants reported their sleep experience through questionnaires. The active-patch group reported improvements during the study.

What this does and doesn't establish

Self-reported outcomes and an observational design limit what we can conclude about cause and effect. Five adverse effects were reported. Longer, stronger studies would help.

Funding & interests

Company-funded.

How to use these resources

Read the full papers alongside current product information. Studies use different designs, populations and measurements, so their results should not be combined into a single promise. None of these summaries is a recommendation to change medical treatment.

The manufacturer's explanation of vibrotactile technology is a proposed mechanism. These studies do not establish every step of that explanation. Longer studies and independent replication would help.
